Lack of football has affected me financially - Eric Donkor

AshantiGold SC defender Eric Donkor has revealed that the suspension of the league following the outbreak of the corona-virus pandemic has affected him financially.

The Ghana Premier League has been on Suspension since March as part government measures to curb the spread of the corona-virus in Ghana.

With almost three months without football, Donkor has been engaging Kumasi based OTEC FM on how he’s been financially affected by the halting of football, and training individually.

“The break has affected me financially, although I’m being paid, I would have gotten some income if the season is ongoing.

“It has also affected my personal life because football it’s all about training and games, lacking those things is really affecting me. Individual training is not helping me,” Donkor told Kumasi based OTEC FM.

Meanwhile football clubs will have to wait until July 31 to know if football can return in Ghana.
