LIVE UPDATES: Inter Allies vs Hearts of Oak (GPL Week 14)

Our coverage of Week 14 of the Zylofon Cash Premier League continues today with two key fixtures.

Accra Hearts of Oak will lock horns with Tema-based Inter Allies as champions Aduana play host Bechem United.

Kenichi Yatsuhashi has a chance to show his former side what they are missing when he leads Inter Allies to take on Accra Hearts of Oak, the team that sacked him for ‘gross insubordination’.

Ahead of the game, Kenichi Yatsuhashi has penned a heartwarming letter to supporters of the Hearts of Oak, pleading with them to accept him as one of them and appreciate his new position as the coach of Inter Allies.

Excerpts of the letter read: “During my time at Hearts, I wasn’t perfect, but I had no other way to get it done. I have made few mistakes, and I said it publicly few times already.I also made positive contributions. I am a professional coach, and I always do my best to win matches for the team I coach, against any opponent, even against Hearts of Oak.

Unfortunately, not so many people can make it to the stadium because it is played in mid-week. I never forget the support I received from Heats fans. I never forget sweat we left on the training pitch with my players. I never forget all wins and loses with my players. I hope you can accept who I am and what it is now”.

Inter Allies sit fifth on the league log with a 100% home record and have hopes of extending their consecutive home victories to nine. They are yet to also concede a single goal at home during this period.

Hearts of Oak also have a chance to leap to fourth on the league log if they manage to leave the Tema Stadium with all the points at stake.

Patrick Razak and Aminu Alhassan played a part in the FA Cup triumph are expected to start for the Phobians this afternoon.

Defending champions Aduana Stars must beat Bechem United in the second match to stand a chance of moving from the 15th position. Bechem, meanwhile, are 11th on the log.
