Premier League Saturdays are back.

Hello good day and welcome to our continuous and comprehensive coverage of the 2018/19 English Premier League which kicked off yesterday with Man United getting a hard-fought 2-1 win over Leicester at Old Trafford.

One game into the season and we've already had two collectors' items - a Luke Shaw goal and a happy Jose.

Anything can happen in football.

Today there is a flurry of games to come your way, starting with the early kick off (11:30 GMT) between Newcastle v Tottenham which promises to be explosive.

Spurs failed to sign a single player during the transfer window with many people worried that could scupper the clubs effort to push for the title this term.

Spurs had nine players in Russia until the final weekend and they only returned to training on Monday, with the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Jan Vertonghen and Hugo Lloris having differing levels of fitness.

Victor Wanyama (knee) and Erik Lamela (thigh) will miss out with injuries picked up in pre-season.

Newcastle on the other hand have had their own kind of upheaval with a recent media boycott by the players to force management of the club pay them their due bonuses for the past season.

Well there are other games later in the afternoon so it will be a long.
Stay with us for all the updates.
