Hello good afternoon and welcome to the finals of the Normalisation Committee Special Competition. We know its Africa Cup of Nations time but a little detour doesn’t help.

The Tier I version of the competition will see Asante Kotoko facing Karela United at the Baba Yara Stadium this afternoon.

The winner of the clash will represent Ghana in the next season CAF Champions League.

Asante Kotoko defeated rivals Accra Hearts of Oak to qualify to the finals of the competition. Whilst Karela United shocked Ashanti Gold in Obuasi to book their place in the finals.

Despite suffering defeat in midweek against Ashanti Gold, C K Akonnor will have to put the defeat behind them and prepare his team for this afternoon’s clash.

Playing in front of their fans, Asante Kotoko will enjoy the privilege of playing at their traditional homes.

They are unbeaten at home in both the tier one and teir two Competition. Drawing only one against Bechem United.

Meanwhile, Karela’s Diwisie Taylor will be looking to wrap up the competition by finishing as the top scorer. He has 10 goals so far one ahead of Fatawu with 9 goals.
