Black Stars Coach Kwesi Appiah will not jump to avoid the push despite several media speculations surrounding his job following the team's shambolic display at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

Media speculations have been rife about the Coach's future following alleged plans by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to push Appiah, after the Black Stars World Cup qualifier against Sudan next weekend.

Appiah, according to a close source has refused to fall for the negative vibes surrounding his job, telling close associates he will not jump to avoid the push as being advised by some of his confidants in the wake of the media speculations.

According to the source, Appiah is quoted as saying ' resignation has not even crossed my mind. I don't think about that. I have a job to do and I am focusing on that.'

The source said the soft spoken trainer who led Ghana to a fourth place finish at the competition the nation hoped to win to end an over three decade wait for a fifth Nations Cup says 'once my job is done, I just wait and see what happens. I am just focused on the task ahead which is winning our games, especially, the one against Sudan next week.'

He said the Coach had opted to focus on his job insisting the pressure to deliver comes with the job of which he was clearly aware. The source said ' Appiah is not bothered about the talk and negative vibes. After all, he says you cannot expect all to be behind you because of how passionate we are about our football. He is not oblivious to that reality at all.'

Appiah has since taking the job he previously assisted maintained 'It is enough for me to give my all always. Once you know you are doing the right things and your best, it is good enough', and the months ahead will be crucial test to his affable character with pressure mounting on the GFA to axe him.

The Coach, employed ten months ago after several assistant roles following the departure of Goran Stevanovic has been tasked to lead Ghana to a third successive World Cup billed for Brazil in 2014 where he is expected to take the Black Stars to last four.

The Coach has about 13 months left on his two-year contract.
