Striker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt wants to use his move to Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II Tilburg to chart his way back into Ghana's squad.

The 25-year-old will leave Bayern Munich II, who play in the German Bundesliga III, at the end of the season.

He signed a deal which will run until the summer of 2023.

The Hamburg-born explained why he did not choose a Bundesliga side or join a club in the German second-tier.

"The discussions with the club were simply outstanding," Wriedt said. "It is the best way to take the next step.''

Wriedt made his Ghana debut two years ago when he came on as a late substitute in the 2-0 friendly win over Japan.

"I haven't definitely closed off the chapter, I would like to work my way back," he added.
