Kwasi Appiah will have final say despite adviser's role- Pappoe

Member of the three-man committee set by the Ghana Football Association to hunt for a new technical advisor for the Black Stars has emphasized that head coach Kwasi Appiah will still have the final say in the team and is at Liberty to implement decisions of the yet to be appointed technical adviser.

There were fears surrounding the future and authority of the Black Stars head coach after the GFA executive committee agreed to the appointment of a technical director for the team with many predicting that the move is only a measure to subtly hound out the current manager.

But Fred Pappoe, member of the committee to head hunt for the adviser says the GFA is very cautious on the move not to create conflict between the two, with Kwasi Appiah going to have the final say with issues concerning the team.

"Kwasi Appiah will have the final say and he will take all decisions with regard to the team" He told Joy FM.

"An adviser is an adviser and the coach can decide to implement the advise or reject it based on what he feels but when he continuously fail to accept the advise then we can ascertain why and what move to take next".

The decision to set up a committee was taken at the Executive Committee meeting on Monday following a review of the technical direction of the Black Stars.

The three-man committee is headed by the GFA vice-president Fred Crentsil who will work with Fred Pappoe and Francis Oti Akenteng.

The committee will work with Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah to find the person capable of steering the national team in the right direction.

The committee will send its report to the Executive Committee next week.
