Asante Kotoko newly signed striker Kwame Poku scored five goals in their friendly win over lower-tier side Jachie Youth Academy.

Kotoko thumped the lower-tier side 11-3 as they continue preparation ahead of next league encounter.

Poku was a delight to watch in his first outing for the club on Thursday as he announced his presence at the club.

The 20-year-old's form will delight his coach Maxwell Konadu ahead of their regional clash against Ashanti Gold SC on Sunday at the Baba Yara stadium.

He scored ten (10) goals for Nkoranza Warriors in their Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalisation Committee Special Competition campaign.

Also, Burkina Faso international Songne Yacouba hit a brace for the Porcupine Warriors to remind coach Maxwell Konadu of his potency upfront.

Highly-rated youngster Mathew Cudjoe Anim, Maxwell Baako, Naby Keita and Augustine Okrah were all on target as the Reds thrashed the lower-tier side.

Asante Kotoko will welcome regional rivals Ashanti Gold to the Baba Yara Stadium on match day 10 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
