Kwadwo Asamoah to captain Black Stars against Kenya

Inter Milan star, Kwadwo Asamoah will captain the Black Stars in their AFCON qualifier against Kenya next month, Footballghana.com can exclusively confirm.

The skilful midfielder has been named in Kwesi Appiah's 21 man squad for the match.

However, Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan and his deputy, Andre Ayew have all been axed from the squad.

The 29-year-old has been out of the national team for the past four years and upon his return, Asamoah will be given the captain armband to lead the team in Nairobi.
