Kwadwo Asamoah in action in Juventus triumph over Sulley Muntari's Pescara

Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah played the entire duration for Juventus as they beat Sulley Muntari's Pescara 2-0 in the Italian Serie A on Saturday.

Asamoah was instrumental in the victory with Gonzalo Higuain bagging a brace to give Juventus a 2-0 victory away to Pescara.

Muntari played just before 58 minutes before he was substituted by Ahmed Benali as a precautionary measure after the Ghanaian received the yellow card early in the game.

The victory ensured that Asamoah's side extended their Serie A lead, but Paulo Dybala went off with an ankle injury.

The Bianconeri didn’t rest as many players as one would expect after a 3-0 Champions League victory over Barcelona and that could prove costly, as La Joya sprained his ankle following a particularly crunching Sulley Muntari tackle.

Higuain had the match wrapped up with two goals before half-time, one set up for him brilliantly by Juan Cuadrado, the other from Mario Mandzukic’s knock-down.

Zdenek Zeman’s Pescara failed to make much of an impact and remain rooted to the foot of the Serie A table.
