Kwadwo Asamoah Undergoes Surgery - Report

Udinese midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has undergone surgery and will be out for approximately one month, according to the club's official website.

The 20-year-old made a big impact in the second half of the Serie A season in 2008-09 and has now been touted as one of the top prospects in the peninsula. Overall, he made 19 appearances and scored twice for the Zebrette, forming an excellent partnership with Gaetano D'Agostino and Gokhan Inler in the centre of the pitch.

However, he will miss the beginning of this campaign after having arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. Certainly, he will miss the club's first two matches against Parma and Sampdoria.

The former Torino player will be on a 15 day program of physiotherapy, but will be out of action for 30-35 days in total.

He thus far has five caps and one goal for Ghana in his blossoming career.
