Kumasi sports Academy cries for MOYS support

Authorities of Kumasi Sports Academy are calling on the Ministry of Youth and Sports to come to their aid with respect to difficulties confronting the running of the school currently.
According the director of the school Mr. James Assuming, the school is finding it very difficult to feed the students currently at their disposal and therefore calls for support from the Ministry of Youth and sports and other cooperate bodies to come rescue them from their current unpleasant situation.
Narrating the school’s challenges to sportsworldghana.com in an interview, Director of Kumasi sports Academy said” The challenges we are facing now is beyond our control” he stressed.
“The students we have at the moment do not pay any school fees including their feeding fees and so we are finding it very difficult to feed them”
“All the teachers who come here to teach are all lecturers from KNUST and we pay them all so it hasn’t been easy at all managing the school without any support the Ministry and Youth and sports”
I recall when former sports minister Omane Boateng visited us some time ago he made lots of promises which proved futile but we are hoping to see the new sports minister coming to our aid this time around to help develop Kumasi sports Academy”.
“We are therefore appealing to the Ministry of Youth and sports, the GFA and all other co-operate bodies who would also want to assist us to help groom our students for the betterment of Ghana sports” a very disturbed James Assuming director of the school concluded.
The school which runs normal SHS courses comprising Home science, Business, General Arts and Visual Arts has U13 team playing at the Colts level , U15 and also the female U17 team competing in the Women’s U17 national division one league.
Kumasi sports Academy was established in September 2010.
