Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) chairman Kudjoe Fianoo has lauded the Ghana Football Association for engaging Great Olympics to resolve the issues that has halted the start of the Ghana league.

The 2017/18 Ghana Premier League which was due to kick-start this weekend has been postponed after Great Olympics served the Ghana Football Association with a court injunction in a protest against Bechem United for fielding an unqualified player against them last season.

But on Friday, the nation's football governing body engaged the Dade Boys in a crucial meeting at the former's secretariat as they look to resolve their differences which has foiled the start of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League.

And Fianoo, who has been a fierce critic of the Ghana FA, commended them for taking a bold step in resolving the issue.

"The GFA has done well by meeting Olympics to seek amicable settlement. If the 18 team league is the solution, we should look at the pros and cons of it because clubs are spending," Fianoo told Oyerepa FM.

Olympics meanwhile, suggested an 18-team league to solve the impasse, which the FA rejected.
