Asante Kotoko are set to add Stephen Nyarko, Douglas Owusu Ansah, Nafiu Awudu and Daniel Nii Adjei to their squad for next month’s African campaign following CAF’s extension of the player registration date, SportsworldGhana.com can report.
The porcupine warriors, last week, named a 26-man squad for the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup competition, leaving 4 more slots opened for player additions and the management together with the tactical team have agreed to top up their list.
As a result of this decision, these players have been included in the Ghanaian giants preparatory trip to Sekondi-Tarkoradi.
Deep rooted source in Asante Kotoko told SportsworldGhana.com, that coach CK Akunnor was extremely happy learning that CAF has extended the player registration deadline and has however urged management to register these 4 players.
Kotoko will begin the campaign from the preliminary round following their sorry showing in the previous edition.
