Asante Kotoko General Manager Samuel Opoku Nti has confirmed that the club has put their legal arsenals together and are ready to battle the Ghana Football Association in the law courts.
Nti has indicated Kotoko will ask the courts to place an injunction on the ongoing Ghana league as it seeks redress of the Disciplinary Committee’s decision to deduct six points from their accumulated tally for fielding an unqualified player against Hearts of Oak.
Communication Director of Asante Kotoko, Kwaku Ahenkorah had earlier threatened that the Kumasi based club will make Ghana Football Association ungovernable should Hearts of Oak win the protest against them.
And Opoku Nti tells Sportscrusader.com in an exclusive interview that Kotoko will not back down on that stance, as their legal team have prepared all documents heading to the law courts once they receive an official verdict from the GFA.
“We made it clear from the onset and we are not changing our minds”,he told Sportscrusader.com
“We will not honour our match against Hasaacas, we are staying away from the league for now as we seek redress at the law courts, but first we ask for an injunction placed on the league”.
He also confirmed that Kotoko will boycott Sunday’s clash against Hasaacas.
