Kotoko subdue Hasaacas at home

Sekondi, Oct. 01 GNA - An 83rd minute goal by Nana Arhin Duah of Kumasi Asante Kotoko broke the anxiety and yearnings of the thousands of teeming supporters of the Fabulous lads in their outstanding One Touch Premier League match at the Sekondi Gyandu Park on Sunday. The goal which was scored through a free kick eased the tension that had built up among the fans, some of whom arrived at the Park as early at 10.00am.

In the early minutes of the game, it was Hasaacas who tried all their football prowess in an effort to carry the day but Isaac Amoako in goal for Kotoko thwarted all their efforts.

The two teams played a highly determined and incident-free game in an effort to have the upper hand over their opponents that saw the stadium filled to capacity.

The fans of the two sides clad in their replica attires chanted, sang amid shouts of "Do, Do, Do and Goal, Goal from the Hasaacas and Kotoko sides but their wishes and hopes could not be fulfilled until Arhin Duah's goal barely seven minutes to full time settled the issue. The second half saw the two sides playing and display with more determination, zeal and an attitude to win but their efforts failed to yield the desired results.

Arhin Duah's goal however restored hope among the numerous Kotoko fans who instantly burst into singing, dancing, playing of drums and other musical instruments to praise the striker for liberating them from humiliation and defeat.
