After their Champions League exit, Asante Kotoko put themselves in contention for another trophy by reaching the quarter-finals in the MTN FA Cup on Wednesday.
The Porcupine Warriors defeated second-tier side Rainbow FC 3-0 in the last fixture for the Round of 16 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
A Kwabena Adusei penalty in the first half was followed by two more strikes after the break by Seidu Bance and David Offei.
The win will somehow calm the frustration within the Kotoko camp after their elimination on Sunday by Algeria's JSM Bejaia in the CAF Champions League.
