Greater Accra Circles Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Emmanuel Boamah, has revealed that a section of the clubs' supporters are ready to prevail on the management of the club not to participate in the yet-to-be launched GHALCA Top-6.

According to Boamah, the only sanctioned competition on the calendar of GHALCA, prior to every season is the Top-4.

He argued that since the new tourney is not governed by law, it must not be organised.

But Executive Committee Members of GHALCA in charge of communication, Albert Yahaya Commey, has refuted the arguments by Emmanuel Boamah, claiming Boamah does not understand football.

Commey revealed that Super Sport mooted the idea of the Top 6 competition, just like what pertains in Kenya.

He says Opoku Nti, Chairman of Kotoko's Management is aware of the Top 6 competition.

Commey further revealed that pending the appeal case against Hearts of Oak, this has thrown sponsorship for the tournament in disarray; hence sponsors as well as Super Sports want both clubs on board to make the tourney a success.
