Former Asante Kotoko gaffer Michael Osei says the team must have confidence in themselves in the game against Zesco United on Wednesday.

The Porcupine Warriors will host the Zambian Champions in Kumasi, in the second group C game of their CAF Confederations Cup campaign.

Having lost the opening group game to Al Hilal in Sundan, former coach of the club, Michael Osei says the players must ease the pressure on them and go in for the maximum points.

“They shouldn’t put any pressure on themselves because no one expected them to get to that zone because we weren’t playing any competitive tournament prior to the CAF tournament this year,” Coach Osei told the Daily Graphic in an interview.

Asante Kotoko look set to preserve their 14 game unbeaten run at home in the competition as they hope to return to winning ways on Wednesday.

Zesco United lead the group after their opening day win over rivals Nkana FC in Zambia.
