New Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, George Amoako admits that the Porcupine Warriors and their arch-rivals Hearts of Oak have lost some prominence ahead of their friendly clash.

The country's two most glamorous club have lined up a double header friendly following the lack of football activity in the country.

The first of the two encounters will be played on Sunday, 26th August at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi with the second game on September 2nd.

Ahead of the game on Sunday, Chief Executive Officer of the club said the two teams have seen massive decline in performances and will need to put structures in place to get them return to their glory days.

"I must be honest with you, Kotoko and Hearts are gradually losing their prominence and we need to come together to be supreme again," said George Amoako at the launch of the match at True Vine Hotel in Kumasi.

"We can't allow ourselves like this only for seemingly smaller clubs to rule Ghana football. The revival of football in Ghana is incumbent on Kotoko and Hearts," he added.

Both club's have been involved in a series of friendly games after football in the country was suspended following the revelations of the Anas exposé.
