Kotoko earns GHc200,000 in NC Special Competition prize money

Special Competition Tier 1 winner Asante Kotoko earned GHc200,000 in prize money from the Ghana FA Normalization Committee.

Kotoko were also handed a trophy by NC President Dr Kofi Amoah and the Deputy Minister of Youth & Sports, Perry Okudzeto.

The Porcupine Warriors were crowned champions after edging Karela United 4-1 in a penalty shootout at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The match ended 1-1 in regulation time before C.K Akunnor’s men clinched the ultimate through the lottery of penalty kicks.

Emmanuel Osei Baffour gave Karela United the lead in the 50th minute, before Abdul Fatawu Safiu restored parity for the Porcupine Warriors in the 70th minute from the spot.
