Kotoko can win League title - Ahmed Toure

Former Asante Kotoko attacker Ahmed Toure is optimistic about the Club’s chances of winning the Ghana Premier League title.

Kotoko have been in shambles since the beginning of the season winning just 3 out of their last nine matches.

The former Ghana Premier League Champions dropped maximum points after losing 1-0 to New Edubiase on Saturday.

Toure who finished top scorer for the Club(Kotoko) last season has backed the Porcupine Warriors to bounce back from their blushes.

“Yes things haven’t been going well. The Ghana Premier League is not easy,” he told GhanaSportsonline.com.

“Every team wants to win but I think Kotoko can bounce back, there are more matches to play and I know they can come back very strong.

“It is possible, they can win the League if everything goes well so let’s hope for the next.”

The Burkinabe international parted ways with Kotoko after failing to join the Club in preseason.

Kotoko faces an uphill task in their next League match when they take on rivals Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium next week.
