Accra Hearts of Oak head coach, Frank Nuttall, says the Ghana Premier League (GPL) is a highly competitive league and a very tough one, with lots of quality players spread across the various teams who are vying for the league title.
The GPL in recent times, has become a subject of scrutiny by most Ghanaian football enthusiast who have deemed the league as substandard and highly unattractive.
According to the Scottish trainer, he was amused by competitive nature and quality of players in the league before his appointment as head coach of Hearts.
” It’s a very tough league, both from the physical point of view and the standard among the players is good. And you can see how the last league ended, the difference
between the team who finished first and those who got relegated was very small, that shows the competitive nature of the league,” Nuttall said in an interview.
Meanwhile, Nuttall will lead his team when they travel to Cape Coast to face Ebusua Dwarfs on Wednesday in match day three of the GPL at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
