Konadu to add a scout to his backroom staff

Maxwell Konadu, the newly appointed head coach of Asante Kotoko SC, is expected to add Mr. Abdulai Gazale to his backroom staff, as a scout.

The former Wa All Stars coach would maintain the current backroom staff of the club with Johnson Smith as the assistant coach whiles Coach Akapo Patron would move to the youth team.

However, Coach Konadu, 47, has been given a target to win the 2019/2020 Ghana premiere league and qualify the team to the continental competition in the first season whiles his second year target was to qualify the team to the group stage of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Champions League as well as winning a domestic trophy.

The former Black Stars assistant coach has signed two years contract on his return to the Kumasi based club, having won the league with them in 2011.

Coach Konadu would meet his new players on Wednesday, at Adako Jachie in Kumasi ahead of their crucial game against their arch rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak in the President Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
