Konadu reveals his title dream

Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu is hoping the Porcupine Warriors can go as far as possible in this season's league to fulfil their title ambition.

The Porcupine Warriors sit top of the standings in the Glo Premier League with a four-point lead with the second round starting this weekend.

Konadu, fresh from a two-week coaching brush up with English Premiership side, Sunderland, heads into the match-day-16 fixture away to Medeama very optimistic.

"Everything has been wonderful and I have been very happy," he said. "I have learned so much."

With Kotoko chasing their 22nd league title, Konadu is confident that the changes brought into the club by chairman, Dr K.K. Sarpong will lead them to glory as they aim to win their first title since 2007/08 season.

"Kotoko is the biggest club in the country. We have a big supporter base," the Kotoko coach said.

"Dr Sarpong came in with some very good business ideas to lift the club from where it was to where it is now.

"He has made so many changes, and those changes have helped us a lot.

"Last year we couldn't win the league but this year the club has been able to top the table.

"Dr Sarpong is looking forward to his first league title, which we hope will be possible!"
