Kombouare preferred for Black Stars job

Footy-ghana.com can confirm that some members of the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association have attempted to put forward former Paris St Germain head coach Antoine Kombouare as a possible candidate for the vacant Black Stars coaching job.

According to our sources, the Executive Committee bloc, which is against the possible appointment of France legend Marcel Desailly as Black Stars coach, sought the help of an unnamed French football agent and indeed, Kombouare has been spoken to by the aforementioned Ex-Co members.

Kombouare was the head coach of French Ligue One leaders Paris Saint Germain until the end of last year, when he was replaced by Carlo Ancelotti and he has been out of work since.

Footy-ghana.com understands that majority of the Executive Committee members do not want to see Marcel Desailly appointed for the job and as a result, Kombouare has been put up as an alternative.
