Kingston To Leave Wigan

Ghana’s first choice goalkeeper Richard Kingson is named in the half a dozen of players to leave Wigan Athletic at the end of June.

He made five apperances for Wigan since joining them in 2008 and he is one of players that shown the exit from the DW Stadium.

But the former Galatasary shot-stopper preserved his form and captained Ghana to the final at this year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.

Kingson, who turns 32 on 13 June when Ghana play Serbia in the Group D opener, should be ready to look for a new club.

“The situations with Paul Scharner, Richard Kingson and Tomasz Kupisz are very clear, Martinez said.

“We will find out where we are with the other out of contract players over the next few weeks

“The majority of our contracts run out on June 30, and I am sure it is going to be an ongoing situation between now and then.”

Kingson is a member of Ghana’s 30-man squad which have begun preparations for the World Cup in Paris, France.
