World Kick Boxing Super Welterweight Champion, Alhassan Okoe Okine has promised to land more titles as he plans to move to Europe and America to continue his career as a professional fighter.

Speaking to Yours Truly from his United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dubai base, the WBC Mauy Thai Title Belt Holder who also has the Asian Title Belt, as well as the World Kick Boxing Federation (WKBF) World Title at the Under 68kg weight category, and the WKBF World Title Belt Under, 70kg said he is coming to Ghana to rest for a while, see his parents, family, friends and move ahead for the bright future.

He noted that due to his super talent, speed and skill, most opponents do not want to face him, so when he does not get kickboxing fights, he goes for boxing which he has fought twice and won all by knock out.

Currently he his record in kick boxing is 17 fights with 14 wins, 3 loses and 4 knock outs, noting that he had to lose some fights to allow people see that he is human and can be defeated.

He said it was due to lack of promotions and fights that he decided to move to Dubai, because most of the time promoters go there to organize bouts and he became an instant hero there as the people love him, especially his kick.

According to Okine, who hails from Asere in Ga Mashie, he has been convinced several times to naturalize, but he loves Ghana, and very proud and happy to be an African and Ghanaian, that is why any time he is fighting, he displays the red, gold green and black star flag of Ghana.

The champion hinted that the game is very lucrative if there are regular promotions, and urged businessmen and women to support sports by investing as there are boys and young men in Accra, Volta, Ashanti and the Northern regions who can fight.

He also noted that there is the need to train more coaches and that is also one of his plans.

Alhassan Okine said one of his targets is to be recognized by the media of Ghana, and he has done his best this season to claim six titles, including three world titles, the Asian title and the UAE title.

“With these, I believe strongly that I should be celebrated. I love Ghana, I love Africa, Ghanaians are nice people and very talented. I use my talent as a kick boxer positively, and I am planning to impart my knowledge and experience” he expressed.
