Las Palmas star Kevin-Prince Boateng has dropped hint that his injury in Monday’s 3-1 win against Athletic Bilbao may not be as bad as thought.
The Ghanaian forward scored his fifth goal of the season for the Canary Islanders on 40 minutes but didn’t make it back into the second half as he was replaced by Momo.
Coach Quique Setien announced that the forward had a leg problem that made the substitution necessary midway through the game.
“Prince suffered a blow to the head of the fibula, he feels nerve pain and it bothers him running and walking. It's not a serious injury but he is likely to have to spend a period of recovery,” Setien said after the game.
On Monday night, Boateng reacted via social media by allaying the fears of his fans. “3 very important points!! Hope I will recover very soon,” he wrote.

The 29-year-old has enjoyed a great start to his time in Las Palmas where he has resurrected his once fledgling career after being released by Schalke 04 at the end of last season.
His new found form has made Ghana fans ask for his recall to the Black Stars as they prepare to play at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
