Ghana and AC Milan midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng admits he consistently failed to listen to advice offered him by Didier Drogba who took him as a younger Brother.
In what is gradually becoming the most sincere biography of modern day football, Boateng recounts regrettable episodes he turned down talks from iconic Ivorian footballer Didier Drogba.
The Ghanaian now playing with AC Milan has had a troubled past especially with Tottenham Hotspurs and recently Schalke 04 in Germany.
“He tried to talk to me, but I wasn’t open to good advice, not even that coming from Didier Drogba. He said
‘focus on football. There are 1,000 coaches and 999 of them will not like you. I had to fight for my place when I came to France.’ But I was not ready to listen to him.”
The suspended Black Stars midfielder looks to finding his feet again in Italy and his latest admission will go a long way in repairing a very troublesome past.
