German media outlet Bild is reporting that Schalke midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng could be returning to Italy in the winter transfer window.
The Ghana star is no longer in the first team plans at Veltins Arena, and he finds himself in a difficult situation having failed to leave the club this summer.
Schalke are desperate to offload the player at the earliest opportunity due to his extremely high salary and there has been talk of clubs from Qatar or UAE submitting an offer for Boateng’s services in the coming weeks.
But, in case he remains with the Miners when the transfer window in Qatar closes on 30 September, Boateng will probably be moving to Italy next winter.
Schalke even may be prepared to let him train with an Italian side before the January transfer window opens, since that would probably increase their chances of cashing in on him in the New Year.
