Kessben share points with Sporting Mirren

Accra, May 28, GNA - Bottom placed Sporting Mirren were held to one all drawn game by Kessben FC in the 21st Week Glo Premier League game at the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra on Thursday. Mirren who came into the game with high hopes after they managed to beat Gamba All Blacks at the Swedru Stadium, last Sunday, dominated the early parts of the game with swift inter-positional passes but made several failed attempts at goal.

Their good play however paid off in the 17th minute, when Mahatma Otto connected a cool header from Frank Boateng's corner. Mirren did not relaxed after the goal but pursued their opponents for another one, but they failed to convert any of the numerous chances that came their way, whilst Kessben on the other hand lacked the basic ideas upfront to cancel the lead after creating some few scoring chances.

With both sides missing several scoring chances, it was evident that the first half was going in favour of Mirren, until a misunderstanding between keeper Tetteh Lugard and his defence men paved the way for Jordan Owusu Mintah to grab the equalizer for his side in the 45th minute.

The second half saw both sides making changes to their teams but it was not enough to grant any of them the maximum points at stake as Kessben's Baba Iddi blew off a God sent opportunity in the 88th minute, whilst Mirren's Moses Andoh also had his well placed shot well dealt with by keeper Frank Andoh of Kessben.
