Karsiyaka pays former player Emmanuel Banahene €16,500 to escape hefty punishment

Turkish Club Karsiyaka have averted punishment of dropping from the Turkish Second League after settling arrears owed to Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Banahene.

Karsiyaka failed to settle the player an outstanding wages of 16,500 euros after the player had left the Club.

The Turkish Club who were to pay the former Ghana U17 star an amount of 56,500 euros managed to cough out 40.000 euros for the attacker who spent 1 and a half year with the Club.

The remaining amount had still not been paid until recently when representatives of the player filed a suit against the Club who were ordered to settle the remaining arrears or face points deduction.

Karsiyaka in their bid to prevent the punishment have paid Banahene who is currently with Egyptian Club Al-Ittihad Alexandria.

Meanwhile the former Berekum Chelsea and Heart of Lions goal poacher has reported Egyptian Club Ismaili to FIFA for failing to pay him his outstanding wages.
