Kally wins Greater Accra Peugeot golf

J. K. Kally and 44 others qualified for the finals of this year's National Peugeot Challenge Golf Championship scheduled for the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Sunday, June 29.

Kally returned 69 net to win the Greater Accra Regional Qualifying competition played at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday.

Frank Sogbordjor came second with 69 net, losing on countback to the champion, F.A. Asorgbah was third with 70 net, Lee Kwame placed fourth with 71 net, beating D. A. Ennin on countback.

Florence Etwi-Barimah and nine others also made it to the finals in the Ladies event by returning 77 net, beating Beatrice-Vetche Bempong on countback while Grace Komladzei took the third position with 80 net.

Some of the qualifiers are Frank Adu, Kwaku Gyau, Sammy Adetola, Bashiru Sakibu, Sam Bannerman-Wood, E.K. Henaku, David Atuwo, Richard Aziamakpor and Mike Aggrey.

The Ladies are Mona Captan, Joy Arkutu, Comfort Beaudoin, Wilhelmina Aggrey, Valentina Manteaw, Yaa Konadu Safo-Debrah and Esther Amedzro.

They would be joined by other qualifiers from the Western and Ashanti Regions , for the finals on Sunday.

The winners in the Men's , and Ladies categories would represent ,Ghana ,in the World Peugeot Challenge Championship in France later in September.

More than 200 golfers took part in the competition which was sponsored by Prestige Motor Company Limited.
