‘KP Boateng will return’

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah remains buoyant about Kevin-Prince Boateng’s return to the Black Stars, but cannot tell when.

Appiah said the AC Milan midfielder has been speaking a lot about the country, and that gives him some appreciable level of assurance that he will rescind his international football retirement decision.

He said: “I went to Italy to meet [Isaac] Coffie so I decided to pass by Milan and see Prince and Sulley [Muntari]. When I met Prince, he never told me he was going to be back but showed concern and was asking about the welfare of some players and officials he remembered.”

“He was showing a lot of concern about the country but as to him saying he was coming back, he never said such but I believe that as time goes on, he will come back.”
