Kevin-Prince Boateng is happy to help Sassuolo record victory in the League opener against Inter Milan.

The Ghanaian international was in action when his side edged the former Italian Champions with Domenico Berardi getting the only goal from the penalty spot.

Boateng is pleased with his performance and elated to have helped his side grab a win in their opening game.

“I am happy to be back and I think I did well today,” he told DAZN.

“We struggled at times which is normal when playing against a strong team but we stayed strong. We wanted to have fun and we did. False 9?

“Yes I like this role a lot. Milan? Well as I said, it was a great feeling to beat Inter.”

The 30-year-old was only making his first League appearance for the Club since joining from German side Eintratch Frankfurt.
