KP Boateng: Schalke must stop conceding goals

Schalke 04’s Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng is hoping his side will not concede unnecessarily in the second half of the Bundesliga when it resumes later this month.

Despite having a potent attack and good midfield, Die Knappen currently lie seventh on the log - four points off a Champions League spot – as a result of their permeable defense.

Schalke have conceded 28 Bundesliga goals this season.

“The most important thing is to stop letting in so many goals," Boateng said in their training camp in Doha. “I promise we won't concede as many [in the second half of the season]. We want to focus on improving our defense.”
