K.P Boateng returns to Sassuolo after ‘underwhelming’ loan spell at Barcelona

Ghana and Barcelona forward, Kevin-Prince Boateng has returned to US Sassuolo after a disappointing loan spell with Spanish giants, FC Barcelona according to reports.

At 32, Sassuolo’s nifty striker arrived in Barcelona full of excitement. Although the Barcelona fans didn’t quite echo Boateng’s sentiment.

He arrived, he started against Sevilla in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey. He played an hour against Valladolid in the League and he lost the Catalonia Cup to Girona.

Not an ideal record for the four official matches he has played for Barça. What’s worse, Boateng accumulated just 303 minutes, no goals or assists and a yellow card.

Underwhelming would be an understatement.
