Sports analyst Jeffery Asare says the versatility of Jordan Ayew will be a great addition to Aston Villa after the former Lorient man signed for the English Premier League side.
Mr Asare hailed the variety of armories to be unleashed by Jordan Ayew when he finally settles in English football.
Jordan Ayew officially joined Aston Villa from French football after a productive season with Lorient.
“Jordan has good movement with the ball and a versatile attacking midfielder who can operate wide on both flanks. He can operate as a second striker and has the ability to take on defenders with courage. He has the ability to dribble and he’s good at free kicks too. None of the attacking players at Aston Villa can hold up play and link up with strikers better than Jordan.
“He must learn to pass the ball on time to his strikers when it matters most.
He must learn to tackle in the game, improve on his conversion rate and tune his mind for the physical nature of the Premier League. He has to also condition himself for the physical nature of the premier league, must be mentally tough to brace and adjust to the Premiership”, Jeffery Asare said.
“The premiership is all about efficiency and not skill or flair, so if he can be a bit simple and efficient in the game, we will see a different version of Jordan that will appease all of us.
"He must release the ball at the right time and improve on his recovery as well, tackling and intercepting balls must be incorporated into his game. All in all, Jordan will surely improve Aston Villa with his variety of skills and work attitude on the field,” he added.
Many Ghanaians are expecting Jordan to showcase his talent when the 2015/16 Barclays premiership season kicks off in two weeks’ time.
