Jordan scores to snatch point for Marseille

Ghana attacker Jordan Ayew scored to help Olympique Marseille grab a share of the spoils against Stade Rennes in a 1-1 draw in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.

The 22-year-old was starting just his sixth game of the season for Les Olympians and he scored a crucial 16th minute leveller that helped Elie Baup’s men to pick their first point in six games.

Marseille’s poor run in both domestic and European competitions had seen them lose five games on a trot and went into the game at the Stade de la Route de Lorient without talisman Andre Ayew.

Portuguese Nélson Oliveira scored first for the host in the 9th minute but their jubilation could not last long as Jordan pecked the scoring.

The goal marks his first of the Ligue 1 season but he has already scored in the Uefa Champions League.

Andre Ayew missed the game with suspension.
