Jordan delighted with Black Stars performance

Jordan Ayew was pleased with the performance of the Black Stars after beating Togo in a friendly on Monday afternoon.

Avram Grant's side secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Hawks of Togo thanks to Debutant Bernard Mensah’s 40th-minute strike from 30-yards.

”I think the guys did well. It was not easy playing because of the weather. We did well,” Jordan said after the game.

“We are preparing and on progress for Sunday’s game against Mauritius in the Nations Cup qualifiers,” he added.

Ghana's next test is against Mauritania in an African Cup of Nations qualifier at the Accra sports stadium, and Andre Ayew and striker Kwesi Appiah set to miss the crunch game through injury, Jordan has no fears of probably struggling against the Mauritians.

“Well, this is Mauritius and we have the quality to replace them [injured players] and win the game on Sunday,” said the Lorient frontman.
