Kumasi Asante Kotoko returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over new comers Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Vetran midfielder Jordan Opkou's late strike ensured the Porcupine Warriors maintained their 100% home record for the season.

Techiman Eleven Wonders traveled to Kumaisi hoping to add sour to Kotoko's injury after coming off a big win in midweek against Bechem United with the reds reeling off the defeat to Medeama SC.

The first half of the game was less inspiring as both sides offered less in attack with the home side earning a bit of the possession. Kotoko controlled the half with a commanding display however were less productive in front of goal.

Wonders returned from the half eager to pull a surprise but it was late in the game that experienced Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Jordan Opoku sored after some intricate football from forwards Mawuli Osei and Obed Owusu.

Two minutes after Jordan had scored, Eleven Wonders had a goal ruled out in controversial manner.

The 85th minute strike from Jordan Opoku ensured Kotoko move 4th on the table.
