Ghana striker Jordan Ayew has mixed emotions despite winning the Man of the Match award in the pulsating 2-2 draw with Benin in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday.

The Crystal palace forward and his older brother Andre Ayew were both on target as 10-man Ghana were forced to settle for a draw against the Squirrels at the Ismailia Stadium.

Mickael Pote gave Benin a shock lead after two minutes before Black Stars captain Andre Ayew restored parity for Kwesi Appiah’s men.

Jordan fired Ghana ahead, but Pote earned Benin a point after John Boye was dismissed for a second yellow card.

Speaking at the post-Match press conference, Jordan said he was happy about the Man of the Match prize but disappointed over the result.

“I have mixed emotions about the MOTM accolade because we didn’t win. We believe in ourselves and we’re not under pressure- were preparing for the next game”

The result leaves Cameroon at the summit of Group F on three points, Ghana and Benin trail on one point each with Guinea Bissau at the foot of the standings with no point.

Ghana next play Cameroon on Saturday whilst Benin lock horns with Guinea Bissau also at the same venue
