Jordan Ayew joins Aston Villa for pre-season

Ghana striker Jordan Ayew has joined Aston Villa for training ahead of their English Championship campaign next season.

Villa were relegated last season after performing woefully in the English Premier League.

As part of efforts to revive the club and bring them back to the EPL, former Chelsea coach Di Matteo was brought in.

Jordan, whose future has been up for discussion following interests from some clubs in England, has reported to camp.

The 23-year-old emerged as the club’s top scorer in the EPL with seven goals.
