Jordan Ayew could not bull his way into the Aston Villa starting line-up to face Liverpool on Saturday in the English Premier League despite an impressive cameo in midweek.
The Ghana striker came off the bench before the start of the second half and made impactful contributions in their 1-0 win over Birmingham City in the League Cup third round tie.
Ayew received rave reviews for his game-changing effect but manager Tim Sherwood still believes he’s good for a bench role.
