Ghanaian striker John Antwi has won the Egyptian Premier League title with Al Ahly.

The Red Devils clinched the title after Zamalek drew 1-1 with Al Masry as Friday’s results put the Red Castle on top of league standings, seven points clear of second-placed Zamalek with only two rounds remaining.

Al Ahly needed only nine minutes to open the scoring. Momen Zakaria’s header rebounded from the post for Ramadan Sobhy to convert into Ismaily’s net putting Al Ahly in the lead.

It was a game that saw Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Banahene net the consolation goal for Ismaily who were beaten at their own backyard.

For Ahly it was their 38th league title win but for the Ghanaian striker it becomes the first time he has won the covetous trophy.
