Ghana defender Jerry Akaminko has advised the players in the lower division league to give their best after lauding their quality.
The former Heart of Lions defender was a special guest at the Prison Park in Nsawam on Saturday to witness a Gala organised to unearth talents for new division two side, Densu Rovers FC.
“I am very happy with what I have seen so far; there are lots of potentials here. The finals was played at a very high level. I will like to urge all the players here to take their career serious” Akaminko stated after the game.
The bankroller of Densu Rovers Sporting Club, Papa Agyemang, who is also a FIFA player agent stated that aside trying to unearth potential talents from the area; the event was also aimed at giving back to society.
“We are trying to get players from here and take them to the highest level. Aside, this is also aimed at bringing the communities together and also giving back to them,”
Each of the seven clubs who participated took home football and other sporting items while the best player also got a brand-new boot, Jersey and others.
The MP for Nsawam Frank Annoh Dompreh was also around to grace the occasion.
