Black Stars versatile player Jeffery Schlupp is free to leave Leicester City after boss Claudio Ranieri declared any unhappy player can go in the January transfer window.

The Ghanaian together with Leonardo Ulloa and Bartosz Kaputska are the most likely candidates to leave the Premier League champions when the window opens next month.

Hamburg-born Schlupp was the subject of a failed £10m bid from West Brom in the summer but the Baggies have retained their interest in the player, who has made 140 appearances for the Foxes.

Ranieri said: "I don't like to maintain players who are unhappy. But of course, this is my point of view – afterwards, there is the club. 'If someone goes, we can get rid of him easily but it will cost a lot of money to replace him with someone else who we have to replace them with.”

Left-sided utility man Schlupp, 23, was a key member of Avram Grant’s team that earned qualification for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations and is likely to be called up for the tournament proper while he engages in negotiations to secure a move away from his club side.
