Janet Amponsah and Hor Halutie have all made it to the finals of the Women’s 100m event at the Africa Athletics Championship in Nigeria.
The due finished second and third in their respective semifinal heats.
Amponsah finished second with a time of 11.68sec, same time as Nigeria’s Udo-Gabriel Joy who was handed the first place in the heart.
Ghana’s major prospect in athletics Hor Halutie came third with a time of 11.61sec behind Africa’s sprint Queen Josee Marie Ta Lou and Tebogo Mamatu of South Africa.
Both Ghanaians will be on the tracks later today for the finals of the Women’s 100m event.
Meanwhile Emmanuel Yaboah’s 10.49sec was not enough to send him through to the men’s 100m finals after placing third.
