Kotoko will punish midfielder Jackson Owusu for picking up a serious injury in an unsanctioned game.

The combative midfielder has come under massive line of fire for an'unprofessional' conduct which threatens his rather fine career.

The midfielder has undergone a successful operation after he broke his shin during a community 'Sunday Special' game in Kumasi.

This is the second time that the player has exhibited high level of indiscipline after he received a pay-cut for engaging in a similar exercise.

And the club's assistant coach Michael Osei has revealed the former Berekum Chelsea enforcer will be punished to serve as deterrent to others.

“We will punish Jackson Owusu for picking up an injury in a game that was not sanctioned," he told Accra-based Happy FM

"We have our code of conduct and we will look at the appropriate punishment for him.

“But we will help him recover and will also foot his medical bills."
